We’re looking for a team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, organization and attention to detail, and the ability to adapt and be flexible. You will work alongside the rest of our Finance Team to ensure accurate accounting, payroll and benefit record keeping.
Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, and/or financial analysis required. No Insurance background necessary. We provide on the job training, with supportive team members, and career mentorship.
Your accounting responsibilities will include:
· Importing and coding daily bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
· Weekly check runs and check deposits
· Weekly AP & AR transaction processing
· Invoicing clients for services rendered
· Reconciliation of internal systems data
· Month End Close Responsibilities:
o Monthly bank reconciliations
o Fixed Asset recordkeeping
o Accrual and prepaid journal entries and reconciliations
o Interest Expense journal entries and reconciliations
o Corporate Card journal entries
o Departmental budget to actual reporting
o Other month-end journal entries and reconciliations, as assigned
· Assist with annual 1099 processing, including follow up with agents for accurate W-9 information
· Maintaining state incorporations and registrations
Your Payroll and Benefits responsibilities will include:
· Maintenance of basic employee data in payroll system
· Bi-weekly timecard recordkeeping and processing
· Monthly benefit audits and carrier follow-up
· Processing employee benefit changes
· Communicating with external benefit carriers
· Assisting with annual OCI benefit enrollment process
· Tracking employee payroll reimbursements and adjustments
· Ability to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Assists in other accounting, payroll or benefits related projects, as needed
Requirements
